Butter Festival
Apart from trekking, the Dayara Bugyal Butter Festival is a unique cultural highlight of the region. Usually, this annual festival is celebrated during the months of August or September, around the time of the full moon.
During the festival, locals from nearby villages gather at Dayara Bugyal to prepare butter using milk from local cows. Specifically, the butter-making process involves churning milk in traditional wooden barrels until it turns into butter. After that, the freshly made butter is used to prepare traditional dishes such as chapatis, paranthas, and sweets.

Day ( 2 ) Raithal to Goui ( 4 km / 2.3 hrs / 2,900 mtr )
GOUI CAMP
- Raithal to Gaui trek 4 km.
- Overnight in tents.
Day ( 3 ) Goui to Chilapada ( 3 km / 2.3 hrs / 3,000 mtr )
THE TREKKING TRAIL
- Goui to Chilapada Mountain view trek 3 km.
- Overnight in tents.
Day ( 4 ) Chilapada to Dayara Bugyal ( 1 km / 1.2 hrs / 3,750 mtr ) Back to Goui ( 3 km , / 2.3 hrs )
DAYARA DAY
- As you exit the meadows of Dayara. You get an attractive view of MT Shrikant MT Draupadi ka danda MT Jaunali. And on your right MT Bhagirathi starts looking at you towards MT Bandarpunch. This is the kind of mountain that stays with you for most of the trek. Because you climb the high climb. Bandarpunch reveals it self for a spectacular sight. Which gives life to the setting of the meadows. Mountain views.
- Back to Goui 3 km.
- Overnight in tents.
Day ( 5 ) Goui to Raithal / rishikesh ( 2,090 mtr )
DEPARTURE DAY
- 4 km Trek Goui to Raithal
- Same day 212 km drive Rishikesh.
- Departure day.
