The Ropes course is a challenging outdoor personal development and team building activity that usually has high and low elements. The lower elements are on the ground or above the ground. High elements are usually built into trees or from utility poles and require a belay for protection.

Rope activities are set up in a variety of locations – hotel schools, camps, park districts and outdoor learning centers as well as corporate training centers. Each activity can serve a group, such as students in a school. The single identifying characteristic is that often, it is an intact group that comes together to share the experience of the challenge, and that a course is designed for the specific outcome desired by that group.

You can modify the exercises to increase or decrease the difficulty or adjust for your needs. Start on your nondominant side so that the second side is easier.
